Pick up from Kampala / Entebbe at 6:30 am for Murchison Falls National Park 311km about 5 hours’ drive excluding stops en route.
You stop en route at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the southern white Rhinos and this lasts about 2 hours.
Settle for lunch en route and proceed to the park with the views of lush Budongo forest. Depending on where you are sleeping in the park, you can engage in an evening game drive.

Morning game drive starts between 6 am – 7 am depending on where you slept. The game drive is carried out in the open Savannah landscapes of northern Murchison where a range of grazers are visibly seen spread across.
These include the Oribis, Hartebeests, Kobs, and Defassa water-bucks, Topis, Buffaloes, Elephants and Rothschild Giraffes.
The carnivores like Lions, Leopard, and Spotted Hyenas among others thrive in the thicket patches. The game drive lasts 3 – 4 hours, relax and enjoy lunch.
At 2 pm, the Nile River cruise/ boat safari departs Paraa jetty heading to the bottom of the falls. It’s very historical to cruise on the world’s longest River with likely sights of Hippos, Nile crocodiles, birds like Kingfishers, Shoe-bill stork, and wild game on the river banks.
You are welcomed by the fascinating natural landmark – the greatest to ever happen on the River Nile course.
Murchison Falls, the entire Nile River squeezes itself to pass through a less than 7m ravine before falling 43m below generating a marvelous plume of spray and an iconic thunderous roar while the trademark rainbow taps in from the sky. Meet the driver guide at the top of the falls and transfer to the lodge for relaxation.

Set off for the transfer to Kibale National Park 366km about 7 – 8 hours’ drive with nice views of en route landscapes including the Albertine rift valley flats and escarpments, the lush tea estates along with villages and small towns.

Today, we explore Kibale’s icon – the Common Chimpanzees! On top of Chimpanzees, Kibale National Park is also home to other 12 primate species including the Grey checked mangabey, Vervet monkey, Black & white colobus, Blue Monkey, Galago, potto among others – something that has earned it a dub as the primate capital of the world. The Chimpanzee trekking starts at 8 am and lasts 2 – 5 hours traversing the lush forest of Kibale which is also home to 351 tree species and 375 bird species including the Kibale ground thrush that is endemic and the popular green breasted pitta.
You spend one hour with Chimpanzees viewing them as they feed, play, and socialize. Retire from the activity and embark on the drive back to Kampala / Entebbe.
