5 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari – Overview.

The 5 days Uganda Rwanda safari tour is a 4 nights/5days Uganda Rwanda gorilla tour that begins in Kampala city/Entebbe airport and ends in Kigali Rwanda. From Kampala, you will have the equator experience, photoshoots, and lunch. After lunch, proceeds to Bwindi for trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the most biologically diverse area on earth. Its rare, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas 1003 gorilla members spread in 19 gorilla families.

After seeing gorillas in Uganda, you shall proceed to Rwanda Volcanoes National Park where you will also trek Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda`s Volcanoes Park then have a community cultural village visit – Ibi’wachu with amazing scenery making this 5 days safari in Uganda and Rwanda a world fabulous African safari experience. 5 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari – Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer From Kampala to Bwindi. Visit Lake Mburo And The Equator

You will depart from Kampala by road and head south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a short stop at the Equator for an informative talk as well as a photographic opportunity. We will proceed to Mbarara where we will stop for lunch. The drive will take you through Uganda rolling green hills through the highlands, also known as the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’. Your road will then head even higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo. Then We then drop down into a valley, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a hab of the mountain gorilla. You will Tonight sleep to the sounds of the mountain rain forest.

Accommodation: Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas (Full Board)

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Go gorilla tracking, Before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation, walking up steep densely forested hills. An inspiring moment! (This trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes) You will sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to one other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silver-back. It is such an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rain-forest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. It’s so amazing to think that there are only about 650 of these beautiful and amazing creatures left!

In case you have the energy this afternoon, you will take a guided walk on the Munyaga River trail, which is an ideal short walk. The trail takes you to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls and there is an epiphytic fern, orchids and a profusion of tree ferns, and Bwindi’s colorful array of butterflies. Here you may also see birds and primates from the forest edge.

Day 3: Enjoy a Scenic Drive to Rwanda Interacting With The Locals on The Way.

Leave for Rwanda, After breakfast. [Clocks go backward one hour]. Simply take in the panoramic sunset over the volcanoes or Stroll around the Lodge

Day 4: Track Gorilla in Volcanoes National Park

you will enter rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes plus the Gorilla sanctuary of Parc National des Volcans early in the morning. The gorilla trekking is indeed hard but a rewarding experience. Make sure you bring with you a packed lunch and enough water. The time spent in the forest depends on the movements of the Gorillas in their natural environments. After the activity, you will return back to the Cam. If you have the energy this afternoon, you will climb the Visoke/Muhavura volcanoes, or trek to Dian Fossey’s grave, or visit the local school, community projects or walk to Lake Bulera or Visit the golden monkeys or drive to Gisenyi, visit Ross Carr’s orphanage and Lake Kivu.

Day 5: Kigali City Tour, Genocide Museum, and Departure at Kigali airport.

After breakfast, embark on the Kigali city tour and the genocide memorial tour, Kigali markets tour then depart at the airport in Kigali late evening.
