11 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari – Overview.

The 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari is a 10 nights/11 days Uganda Rwanda primate trekking safari to see gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking, wild game viewing, birding in Nyungwe National Park, scenery, and community tours that begin in Kampala city or Entebbe airport and ends in Kigali at Kanombe airport Rwanda. This 11 day Uganda Rwanda tour starts from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stop at the Equator for experiments to show the southern and northern hemispheres. You will have traditional lunch at the equator  Igongo Cultural Village experience and lunch then proceed to Queen Elizabeth park for her activities like game drives, scenery viewing, chimp tracking, and a  boat cruise

The 11 days Uganda Rwanda primate tracking and wildlife trip proceed to Bwindi for gorilla in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, in the world’s heritage UNESCO site with the biggest number of mountain gorillas in the whole world (about 1003 gorilla members spread in 19 gorilla families, many other primates like Lo’hoest monkeys, vervets, black and white monkeys(mantled guereza), birds, floral, butterflies, scenery

After trekking and seeing Mountain Gorillas in Uganda, we shall proceed to Rwanda’s  Volcanoes National Park where you will trek and see more Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda, have a community village visit – Ibi’wachu, and see amazing scenery. The 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari will continue to Nyungwe National Park for game viewing and an amazing boat cruise on Lake Ihema coupled with amazing scenery the world’s beautiful African safari experience. 11 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari – Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

From breakfast then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is approximately 420km through Mbarara and 410km via Kasese about 5-6 hours from Kampala on the surface road via Mbarara. When you arrive, you will have lunch and then spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Accommodation: Kigali Serena Hotel (Upmarket/luxury), Hotel Chez Lando (Mid-range/standard) or Murugo Rwanda Hostel (Budget/basic).

Day 2: Game Drive And Launch Cruise

Morning breakfast and then go for an early morning game drive and in the afternoon go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you may watch various water birds and animals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge Plus a Nature Walk

After breakfast, leave for chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge to track the fast-moving and indefinable chimpanzees. After having lunch go for a nature walk in Maramagambo Forest to see other primates, the bat cave, and the blue lake.

Day 4: Ishasha Sector

Have breakfast then drive to the Inshasha sector, when you reach, you will go for a game drive, where you might see tree-climbing lions and other animals like elephants among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax the rest of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 5: Bwindi

Have an amazing breakfast, then drive to Bwindi, and have lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking

Take breakfast and then go for a briefing and after go for trekking, this could take about 4-8 hours depending on the movements of these gorillas. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Rwanda

You will transfer to Rwanda after having breakfast, Arrive in time for lunch, and then proceed to Parc Nationale des Volcanoes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking

You will drive to the park headquarters after breakfast, where you will encounter the ranger guides. After the briefing, you will start the search for mountain Gorillas. The trek can be quite tough that it takes a lot of time approximately 2-8 hours. After the trekking then transfers to Nyungwe forest. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge

Day 9: Chimpanzee Trekking Safari

Go for chimp trekking after breakfast where you may see other primates like the colobus monkeys plus viewing other inhabitants of the forest like birds and butterflies, return to the lodge for late lunch. After lunch relaxes at the lodge. Dinner and overnight as above

Day 10: Have Optional Relaxed Activities in Kivu

Take breakfast then drive to Gisenyi and participate in optional relaxed activities such as swimming, boat ride, and sunbathing that will refresh you from the tiresome work. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali, you may do a city tour with a visit to the cultural museum in visit the genocide memorial site and Butare en route. Then transfer to the airport for your departure flight
