This Uganda Tour will take you to Lake Mburo in the Southern part of Uganda near Mbarara. Lake Mburo is one of the best places in the country to see the impala, gigantic eland antelope, zebra, topi and several acacia-associated birds. Head to Bwindi Forest for gorilla treking and connect to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This safari starts and ends in Kampala.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Lake Mburo National Park
Head from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park, located in the Southern part of Uganda. Before you reach the park, you will have a magnificent of the game drive. Arrive in time for a boat ride on Lake Mburo. The wetlands and acacia forests are homes to an impressive variety of antelope forexample the giant eland and impala. The lake has a variety of animal and plant species which will be seen clearly as you are on the boat trip. Expect to watch hippopotami and birds like Heron, cormorant, fish eagle, African Fin foot, Pelicans, Black crake you may also sight the rare Shoebill Stork and all these will furnish your visit with pride. Day 2: Game drives and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After taking breakfast, you will be taken for game viewing because the park is well known for its richness in biodiversity. It has an estimate of 68 different species of mammals like Buffalo, Eland, leopard, Hyenas, jackals, Topi, Impala and Zebra. The five lakes within the park attract crocodiles, hippos and a variety of water birds, whereas the fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists, like the sitatunga antelope plus red, black and yellow papyrus Gonalek. After having the view you will head to -Bwindi Forest and on your arrival you will relax while preparing for the following day: Gorilla trekking. Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Community Bandas (FB)
Day 3: Gorilla trekking
You will enter the sanctuary at dawn and have pleasure at the home of the mountain gorillas and beauty freshness of the forest, home of the mountain gorillas. After a crumb briefing by the experienced guides, you will proceed through dense bush to trek for these harmed animals called the great Apes (Gorillas). Other primates also live in the forest including the red tail monkey, chimpanzee and black-and-white colobus monkey. Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park after break fast which is located at the foot of the Rwenzoris Mountains, protecting over 200 sq km of Rift Valley Savanna, interspersed with patches of forest and crater lakes hence an thought for a safari. When you arrive, you will carry out a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel. You will scrutinize the concentration of crocodiles, hippos and water birds which is so amazing. The bird species are the 11 types of king fisher, several species of falcons, eagles, the raptors, black bee- eater, and many others. Day 5: Game drive and chimpanzee tracking
An early morning game drive in the Park will take place so as to see wildlife like Uganda Kobs, spotted hyenas, leopard, elephants, lions, plus many others. In the afternoon you will proceed to Kyambura gorge for the chimpanzee trekking. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge /Jacana Safari Lodge / Institute of Ecology (FB)
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast we will return to Kampala with a packed lunch and arrive during the late afternoon.
