However, the Uganda Wildlife Authority offers discounted rates for gorilla permits during the low season months of November, April, and May where they are reduced up to $450; the government always reviews its prices and tariffs every year.

In Rwanda, gorilla permits are offered by Rwanda Development Board at USD $1500 per person for all visitors. For exclusive visits, the cost is $15,000.

Special discount packages are also offered at 30% discount (US$ 1050) for combined trips with other Rwanda National Parks (Gorilla trekking, Akagera and/or Nyungwe National Parks) during the months of November-May and a 15% discount (US$ 1275) on conference delegates who stay pre and post MICE events to undertake gorilla safari in Rwanda.

In the DR Congo gorilla permits are booked directly from Virunga National Park and Kahuzi – Biega National Parks for trekking Mountain and Lowland gorillas respectively.

A gorilla trekking permit in Congo costs only US$400, making it a cheapest option from the other 2 countries, Uganda and Rwanda. One can choose to do a gorilla safari in Uganda Rwanda Congo to gain a diverse experience with these rare primate species in varying environments.
