8 Days Kenya Safari Tour – Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Set off from your place of stay in Nairobi to embark on the drive to Ol Pajeta Conservancy 208km about a 3 – 4 hours drive. The drive takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Kenya before approaching Ol Pajeta also known as the Sweet waters. The main focus is visiting the Chimpanzee Sanctuary – the only location in destination Kenya where Chimpanzees can be viewed. The sanctuary was established in the year 1993 by Kenya Wildlife Service, the Jane Goodall Institute, and Lonrho Africa. Initially, it had 3 Chimpanzees but now has increased to around 40. Sweet waters also present views of Rhinos.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Nakuru For birding (World’s Largest Concentration of Flamingos) & Game Drive

After breakfast, you embark on the transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park enjoying the sightseeing en route. The shores of the lake are home to over a million Flamingo which appears as a pink lining from a distance. Lake Nakuru Savannah stretches adjacent to the lake support counts of Black and White Rhinos, Lions, Rothschild giraffes, and Leopards.

Day 3: Drive to Maasai Mara National Park & Undertake a Game Drive in The Evening

Following breakfast, embark on the drive to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve passing through the impressive Savannah grasslands and the Great Rift Valley plains with the impressive views of Mount Margaret, Suswa, and Longonot. Maasai Mara Reserve features the Great Migration where millions of Wildebeest along with Zebras and Thompson Gazelle cross from Tanzania’s Serengeti to Mara and back every year noted among the natural wonders of the world. Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Drive / Wild Game Viewing & Evening Maasai Cultural Tour

The extensive game drive in Maasai Mara Reserve commences early in the morning following a cup of coffee. Depending on the season, you can get an opportunity to explore the Great Migration where Millions of Wildebeest accompanied by the hundreds of thousands of Zebras and Thompson Gazelle cross the Crocodile Infested Mara River from Serengeti to Maasai Mara to feed on the abundant grass after which they go back. This spectacular sight is ranked among the Natural wonders of the world. The prides of lions, the herds of Buffalos and elephants, elusive leopards, cheetah among other species may be encountered on this game drive. In the evening, you take up a cultural tour to the Maasai Community exploring their ancient heritage and enjoying their music dance, and drama.

Day 5: Drive to Amboseli National Park And Undertake a Game Drive in The Evening

Transfer to Amboseli National Park one of Kenya’s famous Wildlife spots. Literally translated as Salty dust, Amboseli sits at the back yard of Kilimanjaro Mountain and has five varied habitats that range from the dry bed of Lake Amboseli to wetlands dotted with Sulphur Springs, woodlands, and open savannah grassland. Amboseli presents a very close viewing of large herds of African Elephants. You undertake a game drive in the evening to mark your start of Amboseli National Park exploration.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park Exploration With Its Free-ranging Elephants And Mount Kilimanjaro Scenery

After breakfast, you set off for a whole day encounter in the wilderness. The game drives in Amboseli National Park offer great possibilities for exploring a myriad of wild game including enormous herds of African elephants, the prides of lions, leopard, leopard, Giraffes, Wildebeest among others.
