This Rwanda Gorilla Tour takes you for a 4 days mountain gorilla trekking tour in the Parc National des Volcanoes of Rwanda.
Detailed Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at the airport
When you arrival at the airport, you will be met by our safari guide and there after transfered to Kigali. Be briefed about your safari and then lunch leave for Parc Nationale des Volcanoes. The journey towards the north takes you through the beautiful terraced hillsides that indicate much of Rwanda’s landscape that climbsto the base of the fascinating Virunga volcanoes; At times five peaks can be seen. Overnight and dinner at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 2: Mountain gorilla tracking
Very early in the morning, you will go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a wonderful experience. Incase you are lucky enough; you can get to see the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and get back at the lodge in lunch time. Some gorilla families however are more mysterious thus making tracking take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Overnight and dinner at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 3: Gorilla tracking and community tour
You will Wake up and have breakfast, then go gorilla tracking again in Parc National des Volcans, where you might have a chance to see what you missed seeing the past day, this magical experience takes you approximately an hour then visit Ross Carr’s orphanage, visit the local school and community projects. Overnight and dinner at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 4: City tour and return home
After breakfast, you will leave for Kigali. Go for a City tour forexample handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre and the genocide memorial, visits to the market, a pottery project and have lunch enroute then Transfer to the airport.
