The 3 Days Gorilla Tour will take you to Mgahinga National Park, found in South Western Uganda. Mgahinga National Park from Kisoro town is 14km covering 33 sq km in the district of Kisoro that is sorrounded by the Bafumbira. The park is habituated by the rare mountain gorillas giving chance for Gorilla tours. The gorilla tour is carried out in Kisoro.
Detailed Safari Itinerary for the Trip
Day 1: Kampala to Kisoro
Setting off from Kampala to Kisoro which is approximately 540 km from Uganda’s Capital city after being briefed about the safari. Overnight at Travellers’rest or Mgahinga Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga
Early morning breakfast and there after the guide will lead you through the gorilla’s world, clearing up sorts of their behaviour plus ecosystem. Gorilla trekking is the most incredible and memorable experience, which might take you via a thick forest for the whole of the day.
The Nyakagezi tourist group consists of 9 members; 2 juveniles, 2 infants, 3 adult females and 2 silver backs, tracking may cover three to eight hours. This activity tires walking therefore one has to go geared up. It is very prudent that you to wear good toehold shoes best for muddy places and binoculars for easy vision. Overnight at Mgahinga Safari Lodge and Travellers’ rest.
Day 3: Departure
Soon after a morning breakfast, return back to Kampala and wait for your departure flights.
