Gorilla Safaris to Bwindi Forest National Park Uganda – Uganda Gorilla Safari News

Bwindi impenetrable gorilla forest is the perfect destination for Gorilla Safaris in Uganda. It is situated in the heart of Africa, and to be specific, in the South Western Part of Pearl of Africa – Uganda and comprises of about 331 square kilometers (128 sq mi).

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site and  is considered to feature one of the oldest rain forests in Africa.

Being the most ancient, the forest has one of the richest ecosystems in the whole of the African continent and the diversity of its species is quite thrilling.

The park provides habitat for some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species & is a sanctuary for Colobus monkeys, chimpanzees and many birds (such as horn bills and turacos).

It is perhaps most famous for its 400 Mountain gorillas; which is half of the total population of these endangered apes in the whole world. The mountain Gorillas tend to live in groups called families, and lucky enough, most of these gorilla families are habituated to tolerate human presence. This gives a chance for the travelers on Uganda Gorilla Safaris to see these apes in their natural habitats, as they go about their day.

Other alternative tours that can expose one to gorillas are Congo Gorilla Safaris and Gorilla Safaris in Rwanda.

These can be compared to Uganda Gorilla Safaris, but the advantage with Gorilla Tracking in Uganda is that uganda has got more gorilla families than Rwanda & Congo, thus ease in Gorilla Trekking in Uganda.
