The uganda’s gorilla trekking regions bwindi

gorilla trekking bwindiThough Bwindi Impenetrable National Park stands a block Uganda gorilla safari destination, the park is partitioned into regions and the gorilla trekking is carried out in these differing regions.
The park has a minimum of 400 mountain gorilla individuals which is close to the half of the world population of mountain gorillas stranding at 880. A section of the gorilla numbers in Bwindi have been habituated overtime and apparently a count of 10 groups are well tamed to be encountered by travelers on gorilla safaris in Uganda.
These 10 groups are distributed in the four regions that form the Bwindi Park and they feature independent park wardens. These regions have separate gorilla permit whose count depends on the number of gorilla groups thriving in that area.
The Buhoma region to the north of the park is a re-known pioneer of Uganda gorilla safaris and has three gorilla families that are habituated including Mubare which was the first group to be habituated in 1991 and received the visitors in October 1993. Other families include the Habinyanja and the one that seceded from it Rushegura.
The Ruhija region in the East of Bwindi has three gorilla groups which include Kyaguliro the former research group along with the Oruzogo and the Bitukura gorilla groups.
The southern sector Rushaga has five gorilla groups and these include; Nshongi which is re-known as the largest group ever habituated along with the gorilla groups of Bweza, the Mishaya, Kahungye and Busingye.
The south west of the park features the famous Nkuringo sector that has one gorilla family named Nkuringo gorilla family.
These regions present varying Uganda gorilla trekking experiences considering the alternating terrain though the difference is not all that distinct.
Since each gorilla group is tracked by a count of 8 people, the availability of 12 groups provides Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with 96 gorilla permits can be purchased from the Uganda Wildlife Authority if so as to participate fully in the gorilla trekking safari in Uganda.
