Standing among the top Uganda Gorilla Safari Lodges, Buhoma Lodge enjoys intimate and quality touch with remarkable views of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Buhoma Lodge as its name suggests is located in the Buhoma sector to the north of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – the home to a minimum of 400 Mountain Gorillas.

Buhoma region enjoys the legacy of being the pioneer Uganda gorilla trekking safari region with three habituated gorilla groups of Mubare, Habinyanja and Rushegura. Mubare was the first group to be habituated and introduced for tracking in the whole of Bwindi in 1993.

The lodge is a brief walkable distance from the Park gate as it is positioned inside the park and so close to the start point where travelers on gorilla safaris in Uganda gather for briefing.

Buhoma Lodge features a raised central lounge area equipped with a bar, dinning, lounge, spa amenities and a cozy atmosphere for discussing the break of the day around the African traditional fire places.

The Accommodation at Buhoma Lodge is availed in a count of ten (10) Chalets which are carefully built and individually designed majorly with local materials without compromising the modern comfort levels. The private balconies enjoy the views of the Impenetrable Forest.

The spacious beds, en suite bathroom with hot water, flush toilet, bathtubs in some chalets, window screens that are insect proof, secure safe and Eco-friendly solar lighting mark the interior of the Buhoma Lodge Chalets.

The family room enjoys an open fire place and a separate lounge room which is an extra luxury added for families intending to do Gorilla Safari tour in Uganda.

The Lodge enjoys an open air bar and lounge area with local and international brands in stock, free WiFi and battery recharging facilities.

The hot beverages are available for self service throughout the day in the restaurant area but can as well be delivered to the room with a wakeup call early in the morning. Buhoma Lodge goes an extra mile to offer complimentary laundry, massage and hiking boot cleaning service.
