Buffaloes are known to be one of the most dangerous species of animals in Uganda. There are two subspecies of buffalo that exist in Uganda; the larger Savannah buffalo and the smaller forest buffalo.
A buffalo is one of the most abundant of Africa’s large herbivores. It also depends on water.

An elephant never forgets but a buffalo never forgives. It can still recognize a person who has hurt it in the past and on the next occasion it will not hesitate to attack.
They are known to attack and kill hunters. They particularly seek revenge on whoever has hurt them in the past.
Buffaloes will happily attack and injure the king of the jungle that threatens to attack them.
