gorilla tourGorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park is so interesting since it provides a chance to spend some time with the primates, they are good creatures and they have attracted many gorilla trekking safaris to Rwanda which has helped in increasing the country’s revenues.

The treks in volcanoes national park are well organised and clearly structured with only 8 people allowed to visit a particular group.

The tourists who come for gorilla tracking in Rwanda are normally given one hour to spend with the mountain gorillas.

This helps in limiting the transmission of diseases to the mountain gorillas.Gorilla trekking safaris are normally done in the morning after getting briefed by the rangers who provide the tourists with the information about the dos and the don’ts of the activity.

This is done to avoid mistakes which can be done by the tourists during the activities of gorilla tracking with in the park.

There are however many gorilla groups which are found in Rwanda, these include; sabyinyo group which has 11 members, group thirteen which is normally found near Sabyinyo, the amahoro group , susa group, hirwa, Karisimbi and Kwitonda gorilla group, all these groups have generally attracted many visitors to come and engage in gorilla trekking in Rwanda.

However gorilla trekking can also be done in Uganda in the famous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which parks harbours half of the mountain gorillas in the wild, this park is located in the western Uganda and it has been visited by many people from all over the world.

Mgahinga National park has also got a group of mountain gorillas which is also encourages mountain gorilla tracking in Uganda.  The park has also got opportunities for golden monkey tracking which is done by the tourists with in the park.
