5 Days Tanzania Safari – DETAILED SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1 of the 5 Days Tanzania Safari: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park from Arusha & do an afternoon game drive

The safari commences upon pick up from the hotel in Arusha embarking on the transfer to Lake Manyara National Park 130km about 2 ½ hour’s drive. You enjoy the impressive views of the countryside before approaching the park. Settle for lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon, you set off for a game viewing experience. Lake Manyara National Park offers possible views of tree climbing lions, elephants, large buffalo, wildebeest, Zebra, Hippos, Olive Baboons, Klipspringers, and Blue Monkeys.

Day 2 of the 5 Days Tanzania Safari: Morning Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and drive to Serengeti National Park

The morning is dedicated to another game drive in the park exploring more animals and gaining chances of viewing that you might have missed on the previous day. From the game drive, you embark on the drive to Serengeti National Park and enjoy the evening game drive as you proceed to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3 of the 5 Days Tanzania Safari: Extensive game drive in Serengeti National Park

This whole day is dedicated to a detailed exploration of Serengeti National Park. Noted to be among the best Africa Safari destinations, Serengeti National Park game drive takes you through its extensive open plains dotted with millions of grazers, the rock Kopjes which are good spots for predators including Golden manned lions. The possible wildlife views include; Wildebeest, Giraffe, Elephants, African Jackal species, Spotted Hyena, Impala, Zebras, Elands, Topis, Elands along with Aardwolf.

Day 4 of the 5 Days Tanzania Safari: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater and do an afternoon game drive

Set off from Serengeti National Park with a lunch box driving to Ngorongoro Crater. You make a stop en route at Olduvai Gorge to explore the Museum that details the discovery of early man fossils at the site and its subsequent contribution to the evolution history. You proceed to Ngorongoro Crater standing as the world’s largest intact, inactive and unfilled volcanic caldera whose floor supports a range of wild game including predators. Ngorongoro Crater floor has water bodies and impressive vegetation supporting counts of Zebras, Maasai lions, Wildebeest, Cheetah, Hippos, Elephants, Buffalos among others.

Day 5 of the 5 Days Tanzania Safari: Another crater tour and transfer back to Arusha

After breakfast, you set off from Ngorongoro driving to Arusha where you can connect to Arusha Airport for an onward flight if you have any.
