4 DAY SAFARI ITINERARY TO KIBALE AND LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Day 1
You will depart for a half day drive west through Mubende to Fort Portal, passing though verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabulous “Mountains of the Moon”.
Overnight at Ndali Safari Lodge (Luxury) or Rwenzori View Guest house (Midrange) or Kanyankyu ecological centre (Budget)
Day 2
We shall move into the Forest, for primate viewing after Breakfast. At 8.00 am in the morning, The activity will start. A half day search for chimpanzees and other primates like Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabey swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies ,phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blues and many small insects, The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, making sure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. After lunch, a visit to Bigodi swamp eco tourism site is amazing, as we shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna.

Day 3
You will head d for Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast. This drive will take you to Agip Motel in Mbarara where you will stop for lunch. We will then proceed to Lake Mburo. This Park is an extension of the Tanzanian plains with big herds of impala, eland, zebra and other ungulates. Bird viewing opportunities are excellent – for birders, this is one of the best places to find African fin foot plus papyrus bush shrike. After checking in, you will go for a game drive in the rolling hills and open grasslands. The lovely landscape is a home to Klipspringers, Crested Crane, elusive Shoebill Stork, Impala, Waterbuck, Eland, Zebra and Buffalo, Overnight at Luxury Mantana Tented camp/Basic Rwonyo Rest Camp (FB)
Day 4
You will have a guided nature walk after an early morning breakfast. A ranger guide takes you on foot to the bush. Lake Mburo is the only place in this part of Uganda where you can see zebra and Impala and it’s also the best place to see the African Eland, Africa’s largest antelope! You will arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon.
