Day 1: Kigali-Ruhengeri province
On arrival at Kanombe-Kigali International Airport you will meet our guide and then take Kigali city excursion to Rwanda Memorial Genocide centre and Karisoke Gorilla Research Centre. Lunch en-route as you travel to Ruhengeri province where we shall have our dinner and overnight at the Gorilla nest or Kinigi guest House. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day 2: Volcanoes National Park
Drive for half a kilometer after our breakfast to head quarters for briefing from park officials and after enter into the jungle to search for the shy mountain endangered gorillas. Inevitable requirements like hut, insect repellent, sun screen, rain gears, packed lunch, walkable shoes, and bottled water are must and other tools that one may need once in the tropical rain forest. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 3: Dian Fossey Centre – Kigali city
From morning breakfast, trek to the Dian Fossey Centre and learn about all the good work she did to save the mountain gorillas. It was her effort which is therefore respected by all conservationists. If lucky enough, you will enjoy these apes in their typical mist. Then return to the lodge for your lunch and later drive to Kigali city with en-route city tour to board your flight back home or for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Half-Board and end of services.
